What we check before selling

A product page states. Buyers describe what actually arrived. Our job is to hold the two against each other, every time, before a model reaches this site.

We read the reviews one by one

Not the overall score — the text. We went through 129 written reviews on the model sold here and sorted every comment by subject — comfort, fabric, size, cover, how it recovers after unpacking. The full breakdown is published on the fiche produit, with the number of reviews behind each line.

Going through them changes what we lead with. Sleeping comfort comes first with 43 mentions; back support, which every product page puts front and centre, comes up unprompted only 6 times. So we write about what buyers actually raise, not about what sells best in theory.

We look at every photo

Sixty-one customer photos, opened one by one. It is tedious and there is no substitute: no automated check can read the subject of an image. Of those 61, 26 did not show this product — a square cushion, an unopened box, a wall, and even a photo of a meal. Those were set aside.

The rating shown on our pages is calculated on what remains — that is, only on ratings where a photo confirms it really is the item sold here.

We hold the stated against the received

Every stated characteristic is held against what the photos show. That check produced the most useful finding we have on this model: three colour names out of four described a different fabric. The most ordered one was labelled purple and delivered a herringbone grey.

So the three colours on this site are named from the photographs, not from the manufacturer labels: Herringbone Grey, Plain Grey and Bleu. You receive the colour you are looking at.

What we mark as stated

The dimensions shown on the product page — 51 × 27.5 × 7 in (130 × 70 × 18 cm) — come from the manufacturer’s dimensioned drawing, and they are presented as such, line by line. When a figure comes from anywhere else, the page says so next to the figure, not in small print at the bottom.

Every order is covered by 30 days to change your mind. That is the guarantee that matters on this kind of item: a pregnancy pillow is judged after several nights at home.
