Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why

Your cart is stored in your own browser (localStorage), on your device. It only reaches us at the moment you click to pay.
Your card details
Payments run through Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's own secure page and is never transmitted to us: The Pregnancy Pillow never sees it and never stores it. We only receive confirmation that the payment succeeded, and the amount.
Who receives your data
- Stripe — to take the payment and handle any refund.
- The carrier handling your parcel — name and delivery address only.
- Cloudflare — hosts this site and routes our email.
We never sell your data, never rent it, and never pass it on for anyone else's advertising.
International transfers
Animouf LLC is registered in the United States, and our providers operate internationally. Depending on where you live, your data may therefore be processed outside your own country. Where your local law requires safeguards for that, our providers rely on the standard contractual mechanisms available to them. You can ask us for the detail at any time.
How long we keep it
- Order data: for as long as needed to run the sale and meet accounting obligations.
- Emails: for the time needed to handle your request, then archived.
- Cart: in your browser only, until you clear it or it expires.
Cookies and storage on your device
This site sets no advertising cookie and does no cross-site tracking. It runs no audience measurement tool — measured on the served pages, not merely intended. The only thing stored on your device is your cart, kept in your browser's local storage so it survives from one page to the next. Fonts are served from this domain, not from a third party.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, at contact@the-pregnancy-pillow.com. We answer within a month at the latest. Beyond that, your rights depend on where you live:
- United Kingdom — UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
- Australia — the Privacy Act 1988 applies, and you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
- Canada — PIPEDA applies, and you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- United States — protection is set state by state. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we hold and to have it deleted. We do not sell personal information, in any state.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Payment runs on Stripe's infrastructure, which is PCI DSS certified. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Any change that affects how we handle your data is reflected here the day it takes effect.
